Work Plan

Purpose

Quantum Technology, Quantum tunneling, or at least faster than light travel, are concepts a majority of Americans have been exposed to due to the magical connotation of these terms to Hollywood and other media. Due to this, “Quantum physics has taken its position with rocket science in pop culture as a shorthand for frighteningly complicated science,” leaving the term in murky waters. Though as Moores law stated in 1965,  the number of transistors in a dense integrated circuit double, approximately every two years, this was in 1965, about 15 years after the discovery of the german term, “Zur Quantenmechanik.” Mankind has been working with the smallest of particles imaginable, energies greater than the cores of stars, and the accretion disks of supernovas, for over a hundred years. The current state of such technology is more powerful and dangerous than can be imagined or represented by any movie. We as Americans must inform ourselves of the developments in science and technology, their true purpose, and effects on society.

Goals

The main goal would have to be the same as the two last sentences of my purpose.

Objectives

  1. Gather technology that contains Quantum Computing
  2. Arrange the technology to be easy to present
  3. Present Hollywood representations of current technology.
  4. Evaluate peers’ understanding of current technology.
  5. Gather information and research from current companies and industries, using such technology to their advantage.
  6. Present.

Luis: Research

Resources

Internet

Syracuse Libary ID (For research sources)

Some illegally attained clips of copyrighted movies

A GPS, or just an internet port that uses relativistic Quantum mechanics.

Constraints

Either Quantum Encryption or  Quantum Navigators come out before I

Finish this project; a Very big possibility.

My Ethernet cable would have to break, as my Internet has barley ever gone

Off.

Quantum Computing and Technology is beat over by something even better,

making my argument obsolete; Very Unlikely.
